Not mentioned on the show | Karen Moore’s husband James contracted meningococcal meningitis (MM). Ironically, two weeks prior he had a complete physical and all of his blood work was normal. He had lost 70 lbs and was in great shape. MM is a bacterial form of meningitis, a serious infection of the thin lining that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. The infection spread over his body causing his body to set up sepsis.
